A car hit a fire hydrant early Friday April 17th near Fillmore and Cottonwood . The car filled with water after shearing the hydrant off and flooding the local streets. If you saw the thick smoke on Friday April 10th you were not the only one. A few buildings from the Ottawa County Road Commission a pile of railroad ties started on fire. Georgetown Fire Department took delivery of a 2009 GMC suburban. This truck is driven by the fire chief Dan Hamming.
