In the early evening of January 6th, there was a report of smoke and fire coming from one of the Nylaan Body Shop buildings located on Rosewood near 12th Ave. Georgetown stations 1,2, and 3 were dispatched along with the Chief requesting Hudsonville City for a commerical fire assignment. Upon arrival, heavy smoke and fire was showing from the center of the building through an overhead door. The first arriving engines from stations 1 & 2 quickly made entry and extinguished the fire in a matter of a half hour. The fire had spread from a wrecker in the body shop to parts of the ceiling and attic space above. No one was hurt in the fire.
