Georgetown Fire Department provides education year around to schools, large groups and organizations. Last week, Learning Ship Preschool came and visited Station 3 with a tour guided by firefighters Al Feenstra and Matt DeWitt. Kids got to watch a short video on how to get out of their house safely, then got hands on with putting the gear on, walking through a fire truck and being educated on what to expect if they ever saw a fireman at their house. Never hide and get outside is the theme of the day.
